National seminar on Recent Advances in Ayurvedic Science was organised by  Shree Dhanwantari Sevabhavi Pratisthan (SDSP),National Ayuerveda Students and Youth Association(NASYA) affiliated  with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences(MUHS) Nashik,and Maharashtra Council Of Indian Medicine (MCIM), Mumbai, and Supported by Dhanvantari Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Udgir.at Radhe–Krishna Mangal Karyalaya ,Dist. Latur, Maharashtra, India on 25th Feb.2017. Constant upgradation of knowledge is very much essential in the field of medical Profession, weather we are academicians, researchers, students and practitioners. The great ‘Acharya Sushruta’ has said that for being a successful Vaidya one must have the  latest knowledge of other healing Sciences as mentioned in Ayurveda .Hence we  Shree Dhanwantari SevaBhavi Pratisthan (SDSP),National Ayuerveda Students and Youth Association(NASYA) have decided to jointly organize the one day National seminar on ‘Recent Advances in Ayurvedic Science’. It was sincere effort in the propagation and Globalization of glorious Ayurveda  to bring out the best renowned  experts from across the nation were  grace  occasion by sharing their vast experience and knowledge and hold special panel discussion, scientific sessions, oral and poster presentation to interact with youth and energetic minds. The Main Theme of Seminar focused  on  “ Ayurveda Science:  As a Future Medicine” and  sub themes are

1) Panchkarma and Bahiparimarjan Chikista(Allied Therapies)

2) Surgical and ENT disorders and Parasurgical Procedures.

3) Career Guidance and HR Management in Ayurved.

4) Role of Life Science in Developement of Ayurveda .

5)Need of Cultivation of Medicinal plants and Standardization of Herbal Drugs/Mineral drugs.

6)Relevance of SwasthaVritta and Yoga in Life Style Disorders.

7)Mother and Child HealthCare.

8)Relevance of Samhita in Clinical Practices.

9)Role of Diagnostic Methods of Ayurveda in Day to day Practice.

Systematized within a short span of time .

This Seminar was attended by teaching faculties, Practitioners , researchers ,postgraduate scholars and under graduates students from various institutes across the country. Around the 1004 delegates participated in this endeavour.

Souvenir of the seminar was Published by the hands of Eminent faculties present on the stage. It is having proceedings of the seminar with full papers of the resource persons. It also included 84 abstracts related to the topic send by participants. In this seminar 4 Plenary   sessions distributed in to 12 speakers and 43 oral presentations in 4 Parallel Sessions and 41 poster presentations were presented. Souvenir was edited by Chief Editor Dr. Narayan Jadhav , Executive Editor Dr. Vinod Patange and Editorial Board Dr. Avinash Jadhav, Dr.Manoj Pande, Dr.Shital Jadhav, Dr.Sangeeta Soni.

In Parallel sessions Scientific paper Presentations, poster presentations  and invited resource Person’s lectures were arranged in plenary session. In Main Hall of Seminar Sessions were conducted on the basis of topics given to resource persons Distinguished faculties and Professors chaired the session as judges to supervise and evaluate these oral presentations.

At the same time in parallel session research paper presentations  which are based on various sub themes were conducted. Delegates of the seminar witnessed 43 podium presentations conducted in four sessions with poster presentations .Most of the papers were appreciated by Chair persons by providing their valuable comments on individual paper presented in the respective halls.

Sessions were coordinated by members of Scientific Committee Dr. Patange  Vinod, Dr. Dhulappa  Mehetre, Dr.Deepali Kulkarni, Dr. Anand Pawar. Parallel Sessions Chaired by  Dr. Patange  Vinod, Dr. Dhulappa Mehetre , Dr. D Kahalekar, Dr. Pushpa Gavale, Dr. Mukund Bandle. Keynote address was delivered by Chairpersons giving valuable comments on each presentations. Editor in Chief of International Journal of Ayurveda Medicine(IJAM), Hydrabad was assured to Organisers that best research papers of this presentations were published in his journal free of cost to encourage the new generation towards research field. Dr. Balaji Kattewar, dr.Mukund Bandale , Dr. Rajendra Dhate, Dr.Pankaj Bhange ,Dr.Prashant Biradar , Dr.A.S. Mistry and Others served as member in various organizing committee set for Seminar.

Valedictory function was Presided by Hon .Dr. Archanatai Patil Chakurkar(Chairman, Life Care Hospital & Research Center, Udgir) Dr. Madhav Chambule (Director, Udaygiri Multispecility Hospital, Udgir)and Dr. Sanjay Kulkarni (President, Udgir Doctor’s Association-Udgir) graced the functiuon as chief Geust. All members of the organizing committee and Volunteers were felicitated at the hands of Hon.President and Chief Guests.

Seminar was Successful beyond its expectations in achieving its objectives .Such seminars of Ayurveda still require improvement for preciseness in presentation , research methodology awareness and presentations skills. National Seminar on recent advances in ayurvedic science was concluded with theme behind this seminar organization and thoughts given by eminent personalities in this seminar with expectations for great future of Ayurveda Science.
